B Investments makes first deal for new healthcare platform

B Investments has announced the launch of a new healthcare investment platform, making a control investment in The Egyptian IVF Center. The Cairo-based private equity firm’s new platform, B Healthcare Investments, is using part of its EGP 1 billion capital (approximately $65 million) to take a 51% stake in the IVF Center, adding the first business to the platform’s specialized healthcare portfolio. No additional details of the transaction, which will close once the necessary approvals have been won, were available.

The Egyptian IVF Center offers its patients the full spectrum of fertility services, adhering to the highest ethical and medical standards. Based in Maadi, Cairo, the facility has helped thousands of families with their fertility needs over the last 30 years. The company’s staff is made up of pioneers in the field of IVF as well as a team of 119 talented and trained medical personnel providing services that range from fertility consultation and advice to full medical intervention.
