Endure Capital has added a new Partner to its team, recruiting an executive from one of its former portfolio companies for the role. The early-stage investment firm has hired Mohamed Noweir from Careem, the app-based ride-hailing, delivery, and logistics service backed by Endure which went on to be acquired by Uber in 2020. This is the second time Noweir has worked at Endure following a brief period as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence with the venture capital firm in 2015.

Noweir worked for Careem for the last five years, most recently as the senior director for marketing and growth for the firm’s Super App service. A computer science graduate, he started his career as a software engineer for IBM before moving on to McKinsey & Company followed by a series of roles at several startups. His experience adds a rich mix of strategy and operations knowledge to Endure’s investment and business-building capabilities.
