Last Week in Brief…June 20th, 2022

Last week’s largest deal in Africa comes to us courtesy of MFS Africa, a digital payments network. The business closed the first round of its Series C late last year, raising $100 million. Now it has another $100 million raised from a Series C extension round led by Admaius Capital Partners. The other investors taking part in the round included existing MFS stakeholders AfricInvest and CommerzVentures as well as two new shareholders, Vitruvian Partners and AXA IM Alternatives. MFS will use the money for its expansion plans.
