Koome Imathiu joins GEF as Managing Director on Africa team

Koome Imathiu has joined the Africa investment team at Global Environment Fund as a Managing Director.  He joins the $1 billion alternative asset manager from private equity firm Helios Investment Partners, where he focused on investments in energy, transportation, agri-processing and technology in sub-Saharan Africa.

In his new capacity, he’ll work with Sulanji Siwale, who has been with GEF since 2012, overseeing the firm’s investments in clean/renewable energy, resource efficiency and logistics in the region.
