IFC mulls making a commitment to Capria Fund

IFC is mulling whether to make an investment in Capria‘s latest fund. If signed, Capria Fund would be the beneficiary of a total of $13 million, of which $8 million would be provided by the IFC itself, with the balance being co-invested by the IFC on behalf of the IDA PSW BFF.

Capria Fund is a planned $100 million vehicle which will invest in both funds and directly in opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa, South and South-east Asia and Latin America. The Washington State-based impact investor is aiming to grow the volume of assets under management from $260 million today to over $1 billion within the next two years by directing investments in opportunities provided by what Capria terms “the missing middle.”
