African Development Bank has appointed an executive who has worked with the development finance institution since 1998 to be Acting Vice President, Regional Development, Integration, and Business Delivery. Yacine Fal steps into the role, which will see her supporting the Bank’s directors-general and country managers as they develop and improve their operations and service delivery around the continent.

Her extensive on-the-ground experience and knowledge of the Bank’s operations will be a crucial factor in her success in her new role. Since November 2020, Fal has been the Director-General, Cabinet Office of the President at AfDB, where she oversaw the office’s administrative and operational work and activities. Her responsibilities encompassed oversight of all units and departments reporting directly to the institution’s President, making sure all presidential initiatives and bank operations are delivered efficiently and effectively.
