Starting this Thursday, Africa50 will have a new Chief Operating Officer. The Casablanca-headquartered development finance institution has hired Tshepidi Moremong for the role, adding more than two decades-worth of private equity, corporate finance, and business development experience to the organization’s senior management expertise.

Moremong is joining Africa50 from Rand Merchant Bank, where she’s worked for almost 8 years, most recently as the investment bank’s Head of Client Coverage for Africa, developing and maintaining client relationships across 9 countries. Over 12 years prior to joining RMB, she’d worked for private equity firms 8 Miles and Aureos Capital as well as investment banks Renaissance Capital and Goldman Sachs.  She gained her undergraduate degree from Swarthmore College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
