RENEW selects Rwanda for third office location in Africa

RENEW has opened an office in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital city, and has hired a new Legal Counsel, Lincoln Ford Linguyeneza, to oversee the legal aspects of the impact investment firm’s deal and portfolio management activities in the East African country. The move adds a third office to RENEW’s network on the continent, where the firm already has operations in Addis Ababa and Kampala.

Rwanda’s appeal to RENEW stems from the country’s strong GDP growth trends, which was estimated to be 9.45% in 2019, its population growth and expanding middle class as well as its welcoming investment environment which places little or no restrictions on foreign investors. The World Bank ranks the country as the second best in Africa for doing business.
